Student enrollment regulations are for three decades ago – Mehr News Agency | Iran and world’s news

According to the Mehr news agency, quoting the University of Tehran, Hadi Bahrami Ehsan stated in a student question and answer session entitled “The Law of Dress” which was held in the faculties of fine arts and hosted by the student mobilization: The year 1374 and even before that has been compiled and is updated every few years.
Bahrami Ehsan clarified: The last case reported about student coverage is related to the disciplinary regulations announced by Dr. Mansour Gholami, the then Minister of Science, Research and Technology in the previous government.
Referring to the unusual patterns of today’s human lifestyle, he said: “Hijab and chastity should be seen together because chastity is a life and behavior based on rules and framework and it does not matter if it is for women or men.”
The Vice Chancellor for Culture and Social Affairs of the University of Tehran added: “Today, the human lifestyle, due to the fundamental changes that humans have made, is involved in issues and challenges that have profoundly affected the world around them.” The changing world today is so strongly influenced by the misguided lifestyles of some people that we need to think about changing this lifestyle.
Bahrami Ehsan, stating that the most important mission of the university is to teach healthy living, said: “This perception and definition of the university is a place for teaching specialized courses and the student should learn a specialized field only there and then pursue his job, right?” No, because this hypothesis is now completely rejected.
He added: “If we learn specialized knowledge at a high level but do not learn the basics necessary for a healthy life, that specialization will not be useful for this life.” On the horizon of professionalism, we need to reconsider a healthy life so that we can help change and create a positive outlook on the future.
The Vice Chancellor of the University of Tehran, in response to a question that some cultural inadequacies in the university oversee the performance of cultural officials, said: It has begun, and I hope we can reach a common understanding of social issues with a persuasive approach and in accordance with the teachings of the Qur’an.
He stated: The university has not had an acceptable record in the field of culture and cultural activities. Some of the issues that are of concern to students today and are being asked by university officials are not relevant today, but for years past. Wasn’t the issue of hijab a cultural issue in the previous years when we had face-to-face training? I, as a faculty member who has been present at the university in previous years, admit that we did not do any serious work in the field of culture.
Bahrami Ehsan emphasized that persuasion to observe hijab requires persuasion, noting that achieving the components of a healthy life is not possible in the form of regulations and is not achieved by coercion.
Addressing the students, he said: “My concern for a healthy life is not just the issue of hijab.” Rather, changing attitudes, adjusting, and encouraging chaste and healthy living behaviors will not be achieved unless life skills are promoted with a persuasive approach.
