The book “Committed Art” was published / A study of the status, status and requirements of revolutionary art


According to the Fars News Agency Art Reporter, the book “Committed Art; A Study of the Status, Status and Necessities of the Art of the Islamic Revolution “by Mohsen Johari and Meysam Aghadadi and with an introduction by Mohammad Hadi Homayoun was published in 273 pages by Imam Hossein (AS) University Press.

This book consists of two chapters, the first chapter has 7 sections and the second chapter has 6 sections.

“Importance and status of art and artist”, “Committed art”, “Art disciplines”, “Width of the audience and the power of explanation”, “History of art in Iran”, “Current situation of art in Iran”, “Essentials of art” and “Art, “Religious sciences and seminaries” are the titles of the sections of his chapter which are called generalities of art.

But in the second chapter, entitled “Arts”, the sections “Poetry”, “Fiction”, “Performing Arts”, “Cinema”, “Music” and “Architecture” are explained in the book.

Undoubtedly, the Islamic Revolution of Iran is a unique turning point in the history of humanity that has opened new horizons for contemporary man. Thanks to this blessed phenomenon, the institution of Velayat-e-Faqih has taken the flag of guidance of the Islamic society in the era of the absence of Imam Masoom towards its highest goals, and this means entrusting the leadership of the sphere of culture as the key element of human social life to someone. Has set the stage for the social realization of religion on behalf of the Imam of the Age. Thus, the overthrow of the rule of tyranny and the implementation of the Velayat-e-Faqih system itself is a fundamental step towards cultural improvement and promises to build a civilization that will lead to the realization of the Mahdavi kingdom, God willing.
Imam Khomeini, as one of the rare eras and elites of the time, with the benefit of a deep and mujtahid understanding of religion, paid valuable attention to the category of culture and art, the emergence of which can be seen in his various statements and writings. The message of Imam Rahel addressed to artists and the families of martyrs in September 1988, despite its brevity and conciseness, is one of the most prominent texts that clearly indicates the depth of Imam Khomeini’s view on the issue of culture and art. Undoubtedly, the word of this message should be studied by thinkers in this field in order to understand the cultural and artistic strategies of the Islamic Revolution.

After the demise of the great Imam, his righteous successor, Imam Khamenei of Dam-e-Zoleh, described the cultural perspective of the late Imam in the best possible way. His Holiness’s great attention to the category of culture, on the one hand, goes back to the high position of Velayat-e-Faqih and its relation to the cultural guidance of the society, and on the other hand, is rooted in his culture-loving and culturologist personality. This is how the Supreme Leader of the Revolution uses an interpretation of culture that is simply not possible. It is easy to hear the interpretation of Ayatollah Khamenei, who says, “Culture is something for which I am willing to sacrifice my life, but the claim of deep understanding is a great claim that can not be easily accepted by anyone. The expert opinions and views of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution in the field of culture are such that it can be boldly claimed that in the history of Islam, no thinker and Islamologist can be considered as his equal. In addition, a figure comparable to the cultural personality of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution has not yet emerged among the country’s top officials and officials. It seems that the special place of art in his cultural thought is itself a reason for the depth and maturity of this thought in the field of culture.
It is necessary to pay attention to the fact that in the intellectual system of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution, there is a close connection between the formation of a new Islamic civilization and the concern for the category of art. Although many thinkers think that the only challenge facing the formation of Islamic civilization is theoretical and intellectual questions, Imam Khamenei draws the attention of those concerned with the Islamic Revolution to the fact that the existing teachings of the revolution have not yet been translated into language and This is one of the serious obstacles to moving towards civilization.
Grand Ayatollah Khamenei, in the midst of a vast sea of ​​artistic disciplines, pays special attention to brilliant pearls such as poetry and storytelling. It seems that paying attention to the background of poetry and its relation to Islamic mysticism can reveal the reason for this special attention more than before. Attention to mysticism as the highest level of religious knowledge is one of the main secrets of the emergence of Islamic civilization in the last centuries of life and vitality of this civilization. This progressive field of knowledge flowed in the layer of art, especially the art of poetry, and caused the rise of art in that prominent period of civilization. It is important to note that now, hundreds of years after the decline of this civilization, Persian poetry has remained as a relic of the peak of Islamic civilization among the people, which indicates the strong roots of this field of art in Islamic Iran. In other words, it can be said that today Persian poetry is one of the few relics left from that time, which of course can be the key to enter a new era of Islamic civilization.

In an artistic chain, we consider literature as the starting point and screenplay as the middle link, cinema is the last link in the chain. The salient feature of this final ring is that it strongly engages the human senses and fascinates the audience in an astonishing way. Now the question before us is whether it is possible not to use such an effective tool in the formation of Islamic civilization? It is as if during the leadership of Ayatollah Khamenei and even before that, we have witnessed his repeated emphasis on the subject of cinema, and every once in a while we hear the news of his views on one of the cinematic works, more and more aware of the position and importance of this field. We become art.
An examination of the views and opinions of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution on the subject of music clearly shows his difference with many religious thinkers. Indeed, some of his cultural and artistic ideas, in spite of their very special and unique components, are still behind the veil of negligence of the people of culture and thought. Indeed, after more than three decades of his constant contact with officials and people in the leadership position and expressing many valuable points about the cultural issue, is it not time to pay attention to his cultural views and opinions in addition to his political personality? Isn’t it time for researchers in the field of culture to publish dissertations, dissertations and books explaining their cultural thought? The nature of deep reflection on his cultural thought can open new windows for those concerned in this field. It is hoped that the existing work can take a step towards explaining the thought of Raqi, the Supreme Leader of the Revolution.
