The Islamic Revolution of Iran formed a genuine model in the region – Mehr News Agency Iran and world’s news

Mehr News Agency, International Group – Roya Fereydoni and Azar Mahdvan: Alp Tekin Dorsonoglu is a prominent Turkish journalist, writer and expert on West Asian issues. In several books on regional developments, Dorsonoglu has dealt with the policies of the Zionist regime, the Syrian issue, and the neo-Ottoman policy of the AKP led by Recep Tayyip Erdogan in the Middle East. Among the most important books he has written are “Proxy War in Syria”, “World War IV and the Middle East”, “Zero Result in Syria” and “Strategic Event (History of Turkish-Israeli Relations)”.

Dorsonoglu is currently the editor of the website (Yakın Doğu Haber / Middle East News) in Turkey, which has translated many books about the Kurds and the Ahl al-Bayt.

The Turkish expert believes that Islamic movements in the region were affected by the emergence of the Islamic Revolution in Iran and were no longer a tool for US use. This was also the case in Turkey; So that in the 1980s, Islamist circles in this country, under the influence of the Iranian revolution, took an anti-American approach.

What is the difference between the Islamic model presented by the Islamic Republic of Iran and American Islam in the region?

The goal of the Islamic Revolution of Iran in 1978 was the realization of the three principles of “independence, freedom and the Islamic Republic”. “Independence” signified independence from any superpower, “freedom” signified the rejection of the king or dictatorship, and the free participation of the people in politics, and “the Islamic Republic” signified the form and identity of the government to be established.

The Islamic Republic of Iran, which was founded in 1978, became a “new” and “original” model not only in the modern political system of the world, but also in the political history and philosophy of the Islamic government. Why the Islamic Republic of Iran is a “new” and “original” model in the modern political system of the world does not need to be explained in detail because in the modern world, religion is considered only as a phenomenon related to individual life.

While dozens of empires and caliphates have been established throughout the history of Islam and all of them have been described as “Islamic state”, why is the Islamic Republic of Iran a new and original model in terms of political history and philosophy of Islamic government? If we define the “Islamic state” as a state whose laws are based on Islamic law, we can not say that the Islamic Republic of Iran is merely a “new” and “original” model in terms of Islamic history, because now all or part of the laws of many Countries that do not consider themselves “Islamic Republic or Islamic government” are also based on Islamic law. The constitutions of some countries also contain an article entitled “A law cannot be enacted contrary to Islamic law.”

Therefore, what makes the Islamic Republic of Iran “new” and “original” is not the laws based on its Islamic laws, but its political system. Before we look at the differences between the “American Islamic model” and the Iranian Islamic model, we need to address why the United States needs an Islamic model.

The United States forges what it cannot destroy and control, and uses it to its advantage. For example, during the Cold War, he used Islam against the Soviet Union and Marxist ideology for a long time in the countries of the region. The CIA also referred to it as the “Green Belt Strategy.”

The US Sixth Fleet, which arrived in Turkey on July 15, 1968, met with protests from leftist students; At that time, the clerics, incited by the Islamist writers of the time, attacked the protesting leftist students with stones and sticks. The anti-Americanism of Islamist circles in Turkey began in the 1980s under the influence of the Iranian revolution.

Under the influence of the Iranian revolution, the Islamic movements in the region ceased to be a tool for American use. This time, the United States described Islam that was in conflict with its own interests as “extremist” and Islam that was in line with its interests as “moderate.”

Thus, a mentality of Islam was formed in the region against those who resisted the US-led hegemony, which was in the service of American interests.

American Islam is easy to recognize and understand. American Islam, for example, calls on Muslims to go to war against Iraq and Syria and, in the face of Israel, to find a political solution.

American Islam advocates war with Syria, peace with Israel, and normalization, and gives weapons to those who fight against Syria and encourages those who fight against Israel to end the war. American Islam has entrusted its security to the United States and has described its airspace as NATO airspace.

American Islam is the Islam that says, “If the Prophet came now, he would unite with NATO,” or, “Even if innocent civilians are killed, God will place them in paradise; “So there is nothing wrong with bombing the streets of Damascus.”

American Islam is an Islam that has opened its country to American troops, transferred Israelis to Yemen, and is angry with the United States for not being able to do what it did with Syria in Iraq. It is true that the Iranian model has been subjected to economic sanctions, war, terrorism, the threat of aggression, and has paid a heavy price for being anti-American; But has American Islam benefited or benefited from this innumerable service to America?

US allies themselves have acknowledged that the cost of American slavery is greater than the anti-American stance, for example, they say they have not yet received weapons from the United States despite paying for some military weapons.

When the United States refused to deliver air defense systems to Turkey, it turned to another country to meet its military needs, which they said had been punished by the United States for this, but interestingly, Turkish officials are waiting to resolve the issue. They are a solution from Washington.

Even Turkey has not been able to export Atak military helicopters to Pakistan due to US opposition. Turkey uses the CTS800 engine manufactured by LHTEC in the production of these helicopters. That’s why the United States is blocking its sale.

Therefore, Turkey, as an ally of the United States, can not sell military equipment to another US ally, Pakistan.

Although the representatives of American Islam in Islamic countries consider going to the White House and meeting with American officials as a credit to themselves, these representatives have not yet realized that the US government is using American Islam as a tool by the CIA and Saudi intelligence.

* The support of the Islamic Revolution of Iran for resistance groups is an important opportunity in the region that is not comparable to other countries such as Turkey or Qatar. What is your analysis of this issue?

Iran’s support for the Resistance Front and Palestine is very different from Turkey and Qatar’s definition of the Palestinian issue. Iran and the axis of resistance define all the historical land of Palestine “from the river to the sea” as the land of the Palestinians. Iran sees no difference between the territories occupied by the racist Israeli regime in 1948 and the other territories occupied in 1967. Iran and the Axis of Resistance consider the only solution to the Palestinian question to be the withdrawal of the Zionist regime from Palestinian territory.

Turkey and Qatar, on the other hand, recognize the territories occupied by the racist Israeli regime in 1948 as Israeli territory and the territories occupied in 1967 as Palestinian territories.

Thus, from the point of view of Turkey and Qatar, the departure of the racist Israeli regime from the West Bank and East Jerusalem, which were occupied in 1967, is considered to mean a solution to the Palestinian question. In terms of the plan and method of resolving the Palestinian issue, there is a serious difference between the Iran axis and the resistance and the Turkey-Qatar axis.

From the point of view of resistance, the occupation of the racist Israeli regime can only end with armed resistance, but from the point of view of Turkey and Qatar, the solution to the Palestinian question is political negotiations. As a result, the difference in approach to supporting the axis of resistance is clearly visible.

Q: Do you think that the AKP’s propaganda about Palestine could be a model for the Palestinian cause?

The AKP has not proposed any solution other than the “Saudi peace” plan. This plan was also mentioned at the Arab Summit in Lebanon in 2002 on the issue of Palestine. As a result, the ruling party must be the creator of a separate discourse in order to be a role model for Palestine, as is the United Arab Emirates, which has made Palestine the market for Donald Trump’s “deal of the century.” To answer how the AKP has been a role model in the Palestinian issue, we must also look at the forthcoming visit of the head of the racist Israeli regime to Turkey. He can better describe the role model of the Justice and Development Party!
