The national currency code will be launched this year

Ali Salehabadi, Governor of the Central Bank, said on the sidelines of the meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Industries and Mines: “In this meeting, a report on the plans and activities of the banking system was presented.”
He said that the members of the Parliamentary Committee on Industries and Mines also expressed their views in this meeting, which was scheduled to be discussed in another meeting, adding: “The most important concern of the representatives is to direct banking facilities to production to achieve production prosperity.”
He added: “By the end of February last year, the banking system had paid about 2,500 facilities, of which about 66 percent of these facilities were working capital of enterprises and 11.5 percent was allocated to the creation and development of enterprises.”
The head of the Central Bank said about the deadline for the implementation of the check issuance law and the possibility of informing the recipient of the check via SMS to ensure and inform him of the check registration in the Sayad system: “This SMS was launched last week and made available to the public.”

A member of the cabinet of the 13th government stated: “Banks, based on their duties in this law, must provide the services that are emphasized, and if they do not provide them, they will be subject to disciplinary sanctions.”
Salehabadi also explained about the launch of the national currency code: “We are following the discussion of the national currency code in the Central Bank, and God willing, the national currency code will be launched this year.” The issue of cryptocurrencies is also being investigated at the government’s economic headquarters.
