According to the Mehr news agency, citing the Research Institute of Communication and Information Technology, natural language processing is one of the branches of artificial intelligence that helps computers to understand human language. Natural language is the language through which humans talk to each other, but computers are not able to understand and process this language. Therefore, one of the basic challenges and issues of the local products and services that can be provided in the country’s virtual space, including social networks, is the processing of the Persian language in order to better understand the needs of users. In this regard, the first national event “Persian text analysis in social networks” will be held on October 19 of this year at the Communication and Information Technology Research Institute.

This event, while identifying capable people and using creative ideas in a healthy competitive environment, solves problems and challenges in the field of calligraphy and Persian language in the country.

On the day of the event, the teams in the competition, which started their competition on May 4th, will present their final results and main ideas and solutions in four challenges: position recognition, claim recognition, sentiment analysis, and emotion recognition in social media posts. and finally valuable prizes will be presented to the best teams. It should be noted that by solving the mentioned challenges, the quality of analysis and responding to the real needs of users can be increased in order to provide better products and services in the country.
