The promise of the Minister of Guidance became 2 months / Cinematographers are waiting for the government support package

The promise of the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance to provide a special support package for filmmakers has not been implemented after 2 months.

Theater News Base: In mid-September, before the National Cinema Day, the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Mohammad Mehdi Esmaili, promised to provide a support package for filmmakers, but this promise has not been fulfilled after two months.

Ismaili, Minister of Guidance, in a meeting with Ayatollah Hosseini Bushehri, President of the Qom Seminary Teachers Association, said: “We have prepared a complete package in the ministry, which has been submitted to the government, and I hope this package will be approved by the government for National Cinema Day.” Let’s have good news to make up for some of the problems that the people of culture, art and media faced in these Corona days.

Three days later, on the occasion of National Cinema Day, Ismaili repeated this promise in a different way, which is better than before. In an interview with Channel One, he said: “On the occasion of National Cinema Day, the President has provided a gift for the people of culture and art, which will be given to the people of culture and art through the Art Credit Fund.” These facilities include both low-interest facilities and gratuitous disputes. This package, which was intended for artists with the help of the president, is a complete package and far beyond our expectations, for which I am very grateful to the president.

He said: “We have determined a budget that will be injected into cinemas by Nowruz. Of course, this budget includes private cinemas because government cinemas are subdivisions of institutions and devices that are taken care of, but private cinemas have no hope anywhere, so we have them.” We support provided that cinemas are not closed and films are screened.

However, 65 days after the promise of the Prime Minister of Islamic Culture and Guidance, not only has the support package not been allocated, but it is not clear which film guilds will be awarded and how.

Although movie theaters have been slowly recovering over the past month or two, this is due to widespread vaccination and a reduction in coronary mortality, and the very long queue of films ready for release indicates that the crisis is due to The corona will not disappear quickly. The filmmakers are still waiting for the support package promised by the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance.
