He said about the national championship kickboxing tournament that is being held in Mahshahr: “The hosting of the tournament was at a very good level and the athletes and referees were accommodated in the hotel for the first time. We have to thank the Khuzestan Martial Arts Board and we hope until the last day.” This process will continue.
He added: “This period of competitions is very important for us in terms of the country’s kickboxing population, because these competitions had not been held for several years, and on the other hand, the prevalence of corona had prevented sports activities.”
Regarding the holding of women’s kickboxing competitions, the president of the Martial Arts Federation said: “We will definitely hold women’s competitions until the end of this year, and we will also follow the discussion of sending them to international competitions.”
Bethtari continued: “Our priority is to organize and provide appropriate statistics of athletes in this field, which unfortunately has not been done so far; Also, raising the technical level of the country’s coaches, referees and athletes is another program of this federation.
He added: Khuzestan has always had brilliant talents in the field of kickboxing and has made the country proud many times, and we hope that this trend will continue.
The national championship kickboxing tournament is being held from December 20 to January 23 in Chamran city of Mahshahr city.
