In an interview with a disciplinary reporter of Fars News Agency, Col. Saeed Rasti, the head of the Operations Center of the Capital Public Security Police, announced the arrest of the perpetrator of the sale of weapons in cyberspace.

Explaining the details of the above news, Colonel Rasti stated: Earlier this week, news was received about the sale of weapons in cyberspace, and the identity of this person was identified through a police investigation.

He said: after receiving a court order, the accused was arrested in his hiding place near the city of Hassanabad on October 3, while he was trying to move a weapon, and was transferred to the public security police.

He added: during the investigation of the defendant’s hiding place, a handgun with 2 rounds of ammunition, 10 rounds of ammunition, 18 rounds of hunting weapons, 2 rounds of cold steel and a stun gun were seized.

The head of the Tehran Security Police Operations Center, noting that the defendant stated that he had procured weapons from the western provinces of the country, noted: The efforts of the police officers to investigate the further dimensions of this case are still ongoing.

It is worth mentioning that the accused was introduced to the prosecutor’s office for judicial proceedings.
