The working group of the government’s digital economy demanded the cancellation of the requirement to obtain this material to use the payment portal

The Steering Committee of Digital Economy demanded to stop the requirement to obtain this material for using internet payment portals. Reza Bagheri Asal, the deputy chairman of the Digital Economy Steering Committee, has issued this order in a letter to the CEO of the electronic payment card network company, or “Shoprak”.
According to Erzdigital and to quote From the payment method, a letter was published on November 21, according to which Shoprak has announced to the managers of payment companies that starting from November 24, internet terminals without this symbol or with an identity that does not match the owner of the symbol will be disabled by this company within six weeks from the mentioned date. This letter was published in a situation where some businesses, such as digital currency exchanges, are still unable to receive this information due to the lack of specific legislation.
Following the increase of protests against Shoprek’s order, a draft letter from Reza Bagheri Asal, the deputy chairman of the Digital Economy Steering Commission, addressed to Shoprek’s CEO, was published shortly, in which he demanded to stop Shoprek’s order to deactivate non-inmediate acceptors.
In this letter, referring to the recent order of Shoprak to the payment assistance companies regarding the requirement to obtain this material for synchronizing the information of the recipients of the payment assistance companies, it is announced that the investigation of the issue of not requiring the acquisition of this material to start the business process is under the order of the special working group of the digital economy.
Also, in this letter, it is emphasized that according to part 4, paragraph “g” of the resolution of the 67th session of the Board of Deregulation and Improvement of the Business Environment, the assignment of this product as one of the business licenses depends on the decision by the special working group of the digital economy.
In the continuation of this letter, it is pointed out that the cancellation of this product as a license to start a business according to the internal regulations of the special working group for digital economy has been approved in the Steering Commission of Digital Economy and it is in the turn of the special working group to make a decision.
According to these cases, it is stated in this letter to the CEO of Shoprak that the notification of the requirement to use this product by Shoprak to payment companies is contrary to the decisions of the Regulatory and Business Improvement Board and the powers and decisions of the special digital economy working group.
In the end, Bagheri Asal, while inviting the CEO of Shaperk to submit a report to the working group, has asked to urgently cancel the order requiring payment companies to obtain this material until the final decision is taken by the special digital economy working group.
