Transportation of more than one million people by metro during the celebration of 10 km of Ghadir

According to Fars report, Massoud Darshti, referring to the magnificent attendance of the people in the 10-kilometer celebration of Ghadir, which was held last night between Imam Hossein (PBUH) Square and Azadi Square, said: “Tehran Metro started the ceremony from the early hours with full preparation and with the efforts of the employees in Different departments did their best to provide the best services to the participants in the Ghadir 10-kilometer celebration, and according to the statistics obtained from 4:00 p.m. to the end of operation, one million, 229,874 people were transported by this fleet.

He added: The highest number of passengers was in line four with 805,375 people and the lowest number was in line five with 36,172 people.

Darshi added: With the aim of speeding up passenger traffic, the distance of metro trains on line 4, whose stations were on the way to the festival, was reduced to 5 minutes.

The CEO of Tehran Metro Operation Company said: Due to the passenger’s reception, 400 extra trains were sent in order to move the passengers faster than the holiday schedule.

On this day, due to the increase in travel demand, the departure time of trains on line 1 decreased to 5 minutes, on line 2 to 6 minutes, on line 3 to 7 minutes, on line 5 to 20 minutes, and on lines 6 and 7 to 12 minutes.
