Turkey condemns European Court ruling against Muslim women – Mehr News Agency | Iran and world’s news

Following the adoption of the law banning the hijab at work by the European Court of Human Rights, the Turkish Foreign Ministry issued a statement condemning the European action, calling it a violation of the principles of freedom of religion and tolerance towards Muslims.

According to the report, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement: “The decision of the European Court of Justice (EU) to restrict the wearing of headscarves is a clear violation of religious freedom.” This is a new example of Europe’s efforts to restore an identity based on opposition to Islam and tolerance towards Muslims.

“Clearly, these conditions will have a negative impact on Muslim women who are barred from participating in the social and economic spheres,” the State Department said in a statement, recalling the abuses and violence perpetrated against Muslims in European societies. There is no denying that such a tendency is very dangerous and shows that (Europe) has not learned any lessons from the past.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry also condemned the European Court of Justice’s ruling on the hijab of Muslim women, calling it an escalation of tensions between Muslims and followers of other religions in Europe.
