What happened to the car market in the first 9 months of the 13th government? / From Pride 190 million to a 45% jump in Tiba price

Online Economy – Parham Karimi; Last year’s election ended with the victory of Ibrahim Reisi, who, of course, and his proposed ministers came to power with a host of plans to change the status quo. Now, nine months after the 13th government took office, criticism of the government’s performance is growing, and even lawmakers with unprecedented alignment with the government have joined the House of Critics.

One of the main criticisms that has made headlines over the past few weeks is the car market conditions and, of course, the significant increase in prices. The car market has become a hot topic in the country this week, and rampant increases in prices and conditions in the car industry have led to the impeachment of Fatemi Amin, the 13th government’s Minister of Silence, more than ever. In this report, we intend to examine the trend of increasing car prices in the first 9 months of the first government of Ebrahim Raisi and Hassan Rouhani.

In August 1400, the thirteenth government came to power when the car market and industry were not happy due to the wrong policies of many years, and Ibrahim Ra’isi repeatedly promised to improve the current situation in election debates.

At the beginning of the government of Ebrahim Raisi and in August 1400, the Peugeot Pars LX had a price of 283 million Tomans, and to date, this car in the 1400 model has reached a price of 345 with an increase of more than 21% during these 9 months. Peugeot 206 Type 2 in the 1400 model, which was traded at 225 million Tomans in the open market at the beginning of the 13th government, during this period, with a price increase of about 24%, reached 278 million Tomans and recorded an increase of more than 50 million Tomans.

Pride 111 also increased by 54 million Tomans during these 9 months and reached the price of 193 million Tomans and is on the verge of 200 million Tomans. This car has recorded a 39% price increase during this period of 9 months. Version 131 of this car has experienced similar conditions and during this period, has recorded a 40% price increase.

Tiba in the cash register model with the highest percentage increase compared to the cars under review and with about 45% increase, has reached the price of 187 million compared to 130 million Tomans in August 1400. The chart below shows the price changes of some popular cars in the market in the first 9 months of the 13th government:

But how have the prices of these cars changed in the first 9 months of the 11th government?

During the first 9 months of the 11th government, Peugeot Pars LX had become 500 thousand tomans cheaper and had increased from 39 million in August 2013 to 38 million and 500 thousand tomans in April 2014 and had decreased by 1.3 percent. Peugeot 206 Type Two had reached a price of 37 million and 500 thousand Tomans in 1993 with an increase of about 3%.

Pride in version 111, which was traded at 17 million and 500 thousand tomans at the beginning of the 11th government, reached about 20 million tomans after 9 months and recorded an increase of 11.4 percent. Version 131 of this car was reviewed at the end of the ten-month period with about 2 million Tomans and a 10% increase to the price of 18 million 500 thousand Tomans.

Tiba, which, like the presidential government, has recorded the highest increase in the 11th government, increased by 3 million to 23 million tomans and recorded a 15% increase.

Figure 2

Now, with all the available statistics and comparing the percentage of price increase in the two 9-month periods of the 11th and 13th governments, it can be said that the 11th government has been more successful than the presidential government in the same period, at least in the period under review. The chart below shows the price changes of the most popular cars in the market in the first 9 months of the 11th and 13th governments.

Figure 3

As it is clear from the chart above, the car market in the first 9 months of the 13th government is going through much more turbulent conditions than the 11th government. Of course, it should not be forgotten that the Iranian economy is experiencing much more difficult conditions than in 1392, and all these changes should not be attributed to the performance of the 13th government. However, the continuation of the wrong policies of the past in the thirteenth government and lack of planning has led to less hope of improving the situation.
