WhatsApp community capability can make a significant difference in the performance of this popular messenger. Stay tuned to Gadget News to learn more about this new WhatsApp feature.
There are going to be several new features added to WhatsApp, and each one of them alone can excite the users of this popular messenger. From support for multiple devices with one account to a more personalized message reporting system. Now there is news about a new feature called the forum.
WhatsApp forum feature
For the first time, the XDA-Developers website noticed this feature while reviewing the WhatsApp 2.21.21.6 beta APK. According to the available evidence, the forum could be a larger version of WhatsApp chat feature. Of course, it is not clear at this time exactly what this feature is and what it is supposed to do.
There is some evidence that users may be able to enter forums using an invitation link. Users can also share these invitation links with others via QR code. In fact, any WhatsApp user who has this link can become a member of the community.
Like groups, associations will have a manager. Administrators will use some special tools, such as allowing you to send frequently uploaded messages to the forum, changing the forum description, and restricting the forum posting to the admin. Of course, admins can also authorize members.
With all this explanation, it is not clear exactly how the association feature will differ from WhatsApp groups. According to XDA-Developers, both features are supposed to coexist. Telegram had mostly implemented the idea of having two group-style chats in its program.
In Telegram, groups are used to gather fewer people, and channels are used to deliver a message to a wider audience. Users can enter the channel using the link or invitation. Channel admins have the same privileges as WhatsApp community admins.
WhatsApp’s decision to expand the association’s ability to compete with Telegram channels makes perfect sense; But it is not yet clear what the differences are between the two in terms of performance and features.
