A new patent says the next Galaxy Note Galaxy will be a clamshell phone

The famous Ice Universe whistleblower assures that the company has just rested and an update will be released on the Galaxy Note series. Perhaps Samsung has set a different destiny for this line to figure out, and its goal is to move from conventional monoblock devices (single-part or one-piece) to the production of folding devices.

This assumption is based on the fact that the company has registered the trademark Flex Note (Flex Note). The release coincided with the release of a patent issued by China’s National Intellectual Property Office, which explains the company’s new smartphones.

In front of us is a clamshell phone, where a flexible screen reaches the back panel and covers about half of it. It turned out to be somewhat similar to the Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha, but with a folding shape. Noteworthy is the presence of a magnetic pen holder and a dual camera on the back of the screen.

Currently, this is the only patent that can be enforced this way. There is no certainty that Samsung wants to offer such a device and be part of the Galaxy Note line. For now, it’s just an idea and assumption that this could be a new device in the Galaxy Note series. And all this imagination is due to the presence of pen support.

It has already been revealed that Samsung will not launch the Galaxy Note 21 smartphone this year, and it is also unlikely that it will be introduced in the remaining few months of this year. Recent information from South Korea’s patent offices shows that the Samsung Galaxy Note series of smartphones are disappearing forever.

According to GalaxyClub, Samsung has recently extended several commercial rights in South Korea, including the Galaxy S, Galaxy Z, Galaxy M and Galaxy E series, but the Galaxy Note series is not included in the extension list. The absence of this series in the list clearly shows that the company no longer intends to use the Galaxy Note brand for its new smartphones.

So it can be concluded that this means that the Galaxy Note 20 series phones will be the last representative of Samsung’s most famous Galaxy series. This year, Samsung decided to focus on the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 clamshell phones instead of introducing the next Note.

Given Samsung’s recent move to promote clamshell models, it is likely that Samsung’s Galaxy Z4 Fold and Samsung’s Galaxy F Flip 4 will be introduced next year. Of course, the company’s traditional flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S22 series, will still be available.
