Al-Hashd al-Shabi’s new operation against ISIS remnants in Salah al-Din


Al-Hashd al-Shabi and Iraqi police forces launched a security operation in the eastern city of Al-Durr today (Monday), according to Fars News Agency’s International Group.

According to “واعAl-Hashd al-Shabi said in a statement that joint police forces and al-Hashd al-Shabi carried out a search operation to search for the hideouts of the ISIL terrorist group in the city of Al-Dour.

The statement further stressed that the purpose of the operation was to end ISIL bases in the area.

In this regard, the Iraqi intelligence service announced on Sunday a large-scale operation in Baghdad against the terrorist group ISIS.

The Iraqi agency said in a statement that it was conducting operations in Baghdad in line with the achievements of the Federal Intelligence and Investigation Service at the Iraqi Ministry of Interior in the fight against ISIL and the pursuit of ISIL elements.

Al-Maluma news website quoted the statement as saying that 14 terrorists, including several senior leaders, were arrested during the operation.

According to the Iraqi intelligence service, the detainees include senior leaders such as Abu Safana, Abu Omar and Abu Musab. These people were arrested during several ambushes.

In this regard, “Uday Abdul Hadi”, one of the leaders of the Al-Fatah parliamentary coalition in Iraq, stressed the important role of Al-Hashd al-Shabi in the fight against the terrorist group ISIL. Especially in the liberated areas, which face bigger problems in the fight against terrorism.
