Iran’s “Dizmar Forest” was registered as a world record in UNESCO


In the 43rd UNESCO World Assembly, Dizmar Forest was added to the world heritage file of the Hyrcani Forest and registered globally.



According to Moj news agency, Hyrcanian forests On July 14, 2018 equal to July 10, 2019, in the 43rd World Assembly UNESCO It was registered in the UNESCO World Natural Heritage List under the name of Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan, which is now in the 45th UNESCO World Heritage Committee. Dizmar forest It was added to this file.

Dizmar forest is a mountainous and forested area in the protection area of ​​Khodafarin, Warzghan and Jolfa counties in the north of East Azerbaijan province.

The 45th UNESCO World Heritage Committee is currently being held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and 50 natural and historical heritage cases are to be examined. In addition to joining the Dizmar forest to the Hyrkani forest file that it has jointly registered with the Republic of Azerbaijan in UNESCO, Iran has two cases of caravanserais and the cultural landscape of Masuleh under the order of this UNESCO meeting.
