The head of the social and crime prevention department of the East Azarbaijan province stressed on preventing the irrigation of fields with raw and industrial sewage and surface water.

According to the public relations of the judiciary of East Azarbaijan Province, Ahmad Muqari, in a meeting to prevent the use of urban water and sewage and industrial effluents for irrigation of agricultural and garden lands, on preventing the irrigation of fields with raw and industrial sewage and surface water and lack of direction He emphasized that domestic sewage is aimed at preventing environmental and human hazards.
He also informed about the extermination of sewage plants and farm products that were irrigated with sewage by the order of the prosecutor’s office, and referring to the entry of sewage into the “Ili So” canal of Tabriz metropolis and the Aji Chai River (Talkheh River), he said about the completion of the sewage network in all He emphasized the areas of the metropolitan city of Tabriz by the water company and the correction and direction of the surface water directed to the west and south of Tabriz and its control within the limits of the city of Tabriz by the municipality.
It should be noted that the sewage network of Tabriz city has not been completed in the mentioned areas and domestic waste water has been diverted to this canal and the channel has been changed from surface water canal to sewage transfer canal, the lack of management and supervision of the said canal by the municipality and its destruction by the farmers of the region for harvesting. Unauthorized, directing raw sewage beyond the capacity of the treatment plant of Tabriz city to Aji Chai near the treatment plant, and the lack of organization of urban sludge removers have been among the prominent factors in the creation of environmental problems in the western region of Tabriz.
