According to Mehr news agency, Fatemeh Mirzanjad, Director of Education Department of Khammam, said: The 6th grade elementary school of the Islamic Revolution on the main road from Khammam to Bandar Anzali with 125 mixed male and female students was the prey of rioters last night and part of its roof was burnt.

Mirza Nejad added: At 24:00 last night, the neighbors of this school, who heard the noise of the school’s roof burning, called the fire department, and the fire department’s arrival prevented the fire from spreading.

He stated that the fire department has announced that the cause of this fire is the throwing of incendiary materials on the roof, adding: Slogans were written on the wall of this school several times before.

Mirza Nejad stated that the school is closed today and said: “We are cleaning and preparing the school for Saturday, but part of the school’s roof was destroyed by fire and needs to be repaired.”
