Arab kings in the Persian Gulf consulted with Iran on Thursday to reduce tensions.

According to Sputnik, in the final statement of the meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council held at the level of foreign ministers in Riyadh, the ministers stressed the importance of talks on nuclear issues and “addressing Iran’s destabilizing behavior in the region” said: “We hope That the new president of Iran will play a positive role in reducing tensions between the GCC and Tehran.

During the meeting, the foreign ministers discussed the prospects of further strengthening cooperation between the participating countries and the integration of economies after the end of the crisis in relations with Qatar.

The ministers also discussed Iraq, where the foreign minister was invited and supported by the Afghan people, as well as the situation in Lebanon and Yemen.

The issue of Afghanistan had a special place in the ministerial meeting. Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, who chaired the GCC meeting, said “the need to respect the will of the Afghan people and not to interfere in the internal affairs of the government”: “What is happening in Afghanistan is the importance of cooperation between all parties.” Confirms there.
