The head of the Environmental Protection Organization stated that Iran and Saudi Arabia are familiar with the issue of dust and storms related to it, and said: Iranian people are very familiar with this issue, especially in some areas such as Sistan and Baluchistan.
Emphasizing that we should separate from all the fake regimes in the world and work together to solve the problems, Selajghe said: Iran’s bilateral, multilateral and international consultations have led to convergence in the world, and both Iran and Saudi Arabia have valuable environmental experiences and different potentials in the field of protection. from the environment.
Pointing out that Iran has climatic diversity and good management experience along with other countries to protect the environment and deal with dust storms, Selajgah said: Apart from the issues related to land in the sea, Iran and Saudi Arabia have a lot in common. We should all work together to prevent sea pollution.
In the continuation of Ayman bin Salem’s meeting; The executive director of the National Meteorological Center of Saudi Arabia thanked the Islamic Republic of Iran for its warm hospitality and holding the international summit on dealing with dust storms and said: Some people thought that the relationship between Iran and Saudi Arabia had been cut off, but I myself live in Mecca and it has hosted Iranian pilgrims for many years. I sat at the same table and had a conversation with them, and I believe that our relations with Iran were never severed.
Ayman bin Salem continued: Strong Islamic relations have tied the two countries of Iran and Saudi Arabia together, and we are looking for more relations to create a better future for the two countries.
He added: In the technical discussion about dust storms, Saudi Arabia is a desert region, but it is also affected by the dust of neighboring countries, and this shows that international action must be taken to solve this problem.
The executive director of the National Meteorological Center of Saudi Arabia noted: We have various projects in the field of environment that can include neighboring countries, this is our Islamic duty, and we are looking for regional cooperation to solve the problems caused by fine dust, and we are ready to share our achievements and experiences. Share without exception.
He said: Considering the importance of the environment, Muhammad bin Salman initiated two major projects, including the Green Project and the Middle East Green Project, and requested other countries to participate in this project, so Iran’s cooperation with us in this regard is very important. It is important.
Ayman bin Salem pointed to the establishment of a regional meteorological center in Saudi Arabia and said: This center includes three regional meteorological sub-centers to combat storms and early warnings, the regional center for forecasting climate changes, and the regional planning center for cloud forecasting.
He stated that the regional center for dealing with typhoons in Saudi Arabia is fully operational, and said: conducting scientific research, determining the sources of dust and the causes of the growth of this phenomenon are investigated in this center, and the activity of this center has been approved by international organizations. Currently, the possibility of cooperation between the two countries is available through this center, and we welcome Iran to transfer experiences and exchange knowledge between the two countries in order to witness minimal problems in the field of environment in the region.
