Unsafe metro stations will not be allowed to operate

According to Fars News Agency, a joint meeting of the Tehran and Suburbs Metro Operation Company with the Tehran Crisis Management Organization was held with the aim of getting familiar with the metro infrastructure and inter-departmental interactions, as well as measures in the field of safety, crisis management and passive defense.
In this meeting, which was held in the presence of Ali Nasiri, head of Tehran Crisis Prevention and Management Organization and a group of deputies and managers of both departments in the Tehran and Suburbs Metro Operating Company, Mehdi Shaiste Asl, the CEO of the Tehran and Suburbs Metro Operating Company, said: I hope there will be no accident. But this does not mean that we do not have the necessary preparation and we seek to identify possible weaknesses as soon as possible through joint cooperation and take action to fix them.
He clarified: No procrastination is allowed when it comes to the safety of stations, and it should be done by conducting field visits, especially at intersections and high-traffic stations; Appropriate implementation requirements should be written and implemented.
In addition, the head of the Crisis Prevention and Management Organization of Tehran also pointed out that managing the Tehran subway with the existing infrastructure and this operational workload is a big task and said: Due to the complexity of the facilities and the human population, the Tehran subway is very sensitive in the issue of crisis and incident management. And safety issues should be followed seriously.
Ali Nasiri pointed out the responsibility of this organization in crisis management, passive defense and HSE in Tehran Municipality and added: Several joint actions and cooperations have already been carried out between the Metro Operation Company and the Tehran City Crisis Prevention and Management Organization, of which the drafting of subway safety guidelines is one of them. It is one of its results. This guideline is now in its final stage.
Stating that this directive has more than a hundred articles, he stated: There were differences of opinion between the Tehran City Railway Company (Metro), the Fire Department and the Tehran and Suburbs Metro Operation Company in some sections, which were fortunately resolved, and soon the final notification and unveiling by the mayor Tehran is approaching.
Nasiri added: After the notification of this directive, the safety of other metro stations will be measured with this standard, and new stations will not be allowed to operate unless they meet these standards.
The head of the Tehran Crisis Prevention and Management Organization noted: We want a secretariat similar to the National Corona Headquarters where we had a good experience working with the metro to form a good interaction and synergy in the field of metro safety.
He said: Another important issue that is supposed to be followed up in the form of the physical safety camp of Tehran and the committee under that camp, which is the transportation and safety committee; The issue is the allocation of a dedicated safety credit line for the existing metro lines.
